Furloughed project from my loft.
let’s start by telling the story. Way back in the late 70’s my then club mates and I were into flat field soaring (pre electric days) at Cranford Park west London. My then club was the Hayes & District Model Aero Club. My mate Matt built and competed with a Bowman kits Simple Sailman & would regally win or be well placed in the comps.
At my clubs annual E-fly event last year I accrued an original Bowman Simple Sailman kit. Roll on to 2020 and I find myself on furlough and with time on my hands.
So I've used that time to do some old fashion balsa bashing on this retro kit.
Full story coming in Roy's Models.

Well this look like its the 2 yearly update!"
So what have I been up to this year. First off we've had a go at some retro RC modeling when an old 100S glider was given to the club. I refurbished it and updated the radio and have been have some fun with it.
Secondly i've been working hard at getting my Martin-Baker Fleet all serviceable at the same time. This I've completed all I wanted was a picture of the all together.

The 2016 summer flying season well under way and it's been pointed out to me that I've not posted any new items on here for a long time.
My efforts this year have gone into completing the repairs to my MB5, the TCM 3 motor been looking at me in the workshop for far to long. The good news is she is now all up and running the fisrt post repair flight was a couple of weeks back, ant then we flew her at the BEFA E-Fly event at Middel Wallop.
Thanks to Domonic of essential RC we have some video of the days first flight.
The meteor was also out at the Bath Spa E-Fly the week before, and flew well. Unfortunately we ran over a bungee on landing and did some damage to the under side of the wing. That has put her out of commission for the rest of this season.

New photos added of the Meteor T7.5 & the Dak flyin at Middel Wallop E-flyin this year. At some point this year, I will update the build log for the Meteor.
Not so regular update. Sep 14
The Gloster Meteor has been flown but sustained some damage! & is now undergoing repairs. She should be out & about for next season. At some point I will bring the build page fully up to date on this Model.
I have today loaded some video on to my Tony Nijhuis Douglas DC-3 page take at my clubs E Fly-In. This model is still going strong, & after this week end I’m tempted to investigate a sound system for her.

The build of my Gloster Meteor T71/2 is well under way. The basic wing structure is finished & sheeted. The fuzz is all so coming along, & the sheeting is also going on this.
Now all I have to do is chatch up with my web.
